“What You MUST Know
Before Conducting A Reverse Phone Lookup...”
If you’ve discovered a strange phone number
on your (or someone elses) home phone, cell phone, phone bill, or Called ID and would like to find out who
owns it, the easiest way to do it is by using a Reverse Phone Lookup Directory. These
services make it easy to track down the name and address of almost anyone very quickly with very little effort.
The name and address associated with every phone
number is stored in a database that is recently accessible over the internet. It is perfectly legal to access this public information.
The only difficult
part about getting this information is finding a reputable reverse phone
directory that provides accurate information at a reasonable cost.
I say "reputable" because, as you might expect, there
are only a few reverse phone lookup directories on the internet that contain complete and
accurate information. Many of the "others" will only provide limited information or in many cases inaccurate information.
Not very useful!
How do we know? Here at Phone Lookup Consumer Guide we make it our
mission to protect you, the consumer, from wasting your hard-earned money on
products and services that just don’t deliver. We've done our very best to put these services to the test and determine which of these services provide the most complete and accurate information.
How We Evaluated Each Service
The way we evaluate each service is simple: We input a large sample of numbers and evaluate the results. After rigorously testing every reverse phone service we
could get our hands on (we found more than 30 services available), we ran the sample numbers (500 total numbers) which included commercial, residential,
cell, and unlisted phone numbers through each service and evaluated the results.
This was the only way to be sure to find the
best service available on the internet.
What We Discovered
Not surprisingly, we found that most of the services we
tested simply did not provide us with the information that they claimed they
would or we expected to get.
The majority of the services gave us little more than the
name itself… with some providing only a last name and a list of “possible”
first names. These names were often paired with an address that was outdated
or incorrect, if that information came up at all.
Although most of the services we reviewed fell short of our
expectations, we did manage to find a few programs that truly stood out from
the crowd. These gave us nearly all the information we were looking for...
the full correct name and address of almost all individuals tested on.
